It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to former SHSAA Executive Director, Richard Barry Stinson.

Barry was the SHSAA Section II Representative from 1973-1975, SHSAA President from 1975-1976, and SHSAA Executive Director from 1976-1990.

Barry taught physical education and music, and coached sports, in Kamsack for 15 years. He was a carded official in volleyball, track & field, football, and basketball. With East Central District, he worked as a commissioner for many district sports as well as provincial cross-country, eventually becoming East Central President prior to his roles at the provincial level.
